Art work Côme Rolin and Sophia Taillet
The artwork is visible is the court yard of the building, iti is a layering of different colors and degrees of transparencies of netting. The tensioning at certain points creates an immaterial volume for the mind to wander. With its imposing scale, the guest is pro- jected into the artwork and immersed in its impalpable dimension.
The use of construction netting is evocative of these structures that eetingly appear in cities, phantoms of the buildings they conceal. The evanescent aspect of the ma- terial is here used to make the rigidity of the wall disappear.
Each window opens onto a segment, frag- menting the vision of the whole. Games of transparency and re ections evolve with the sun’s path rendering the creation elu- sive in its entirety, and offers itself as a in - nite sequence of transformations.
Côme Rolin and Sophia Taillet live and work in Paris. An architect and designer duo, their work incorporates their respec- tive sensibilities and expertise. They thus create artworks freed from the limits of their own artistic domains to communicate with the space.
