An exceptional place
My wife and I stayed here for a week in mid-October. We had to cancel 3 other prior trips to Paris (where we had booked with Novel La Nouvelle & Nicholas). They were always so accommodating, which is how I could tell this would be a fantastic place to stay at if we ever actually made it to Paris. And yes 2024 was the magical year!!!! So when you exchange emails or calls before your stay – you’ll find very receptive and friendly responses. On arrival mid-afternoon, our room was ready and everything went as you would expect. The elevator while very cute is small and can really only hold 2 people at a time or 1 person and some luggage, but hey it’s Paris and they have an elevator, oh and did I mention the elevator is very cute!!!!
In the room. It’s pretty much as the photos represent in the ones we’ve seen (we used Hotels.com). We had a king room which was about right, of course you always want a bigger room but this room was perfect for us for our week in Paris.
…I can’t forget the breakfast they serve every morning. Lots of items to choose from and no shortage either. Thank you all!!! Filed October 3, 2024
La Nouvelle République Hotel is a charming hotel with a very tasteful decoration in a really nice vintage chic style. We are really comfortable here and the staff are very friendly (I would like to mention in particular Simon who gave us an excellent and very warm welcome last night despite the late hour). The bedding and the room are really impeccable in terms of cleanliness, comfort and style. The street is a little less attractive, but that’s not a problem. Ménilmontant is a lively and varied neighborhood! We stayed at the hotel a few days ago on our way to London, then returned a few days later on our way back, so convinced were we. Thanks to them! At last, a hotel where you feel “at home”, the warm decoration of the room, the comfort of the bed with its integrated laptop connection, the irreproachable cleanliness…the contemporary atmosphere of the living room with its “kitsch” furniture allowed me to work in peace, then relax in an authentic hammam.To top it all off, the owner kindly pointed me in the direction of the best bars in the area…I have only one piece of advice…go there without hesitation…Opinion deposited December 11, 2023

From the trendy 11th arrondissement location to the green wall at the entrance, La Nouvelle République is a hotel with its finger on the pulse of Paris. Fortunately, however, prices have remained proportionate. There’s a lot to like here: the mid-century winged armchairs in the lounge; the thoughtful buffet breakfast; and the restaurant that keeps reinventing itself, with a different resident chef every three months. The neighborhood is sparsely populated by tourists (with the exception of the Père-Lachaise cemetery, a 15-minute walk away), but teems with interesting stores, art and bars.
