Terms and conditions of sale
I Application
These general terms and conditions of sale (hereinafter referred to as “GTCS”) apply to sales transactions entered into by the Hotel (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) with the Customer.
They cancel and replace any previous version that may have been put online and/or accepted by the Customer.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all use of the Site, in particular to the marketing by internet and telephone of all services offered on the Site by SAS LE GLOBE, HOTEL LA NOUVELLE RÉPUBLIQUE.
It is therefore imperative that the Customer carefully reads the General Terms and Conditions, which are referenced by hypertext link on each page of the site. In particular, they are advised to download and/or print them in order to keep a copy on the day they place their order, as they may be amended from time to time, it being specified, however, that such amendments will be inapplicable to orders for Services placed previously.
The GTCS may be supplemented by special terms and conditions of sale appearing on the description of the service, as well as by the terms and conditions of sale of the service providers, available either on their website or on site.
II Capacity
The Customer acknowledges having the capacity to contract, i.e. having reached the age of majority and not being under guardianship.
The Customer also declares that he will use the Site in accordance with these GCS, in his own name and in the name and on behalf of all the beneficiaries of the services ordered by him on the Site, for whom he acknowledges that he is the agent (hereinafter referred to as the “Beneficiaries”) and to whom these GCS will be enforceable.
The Customer is financially responsible for the use of the Site made both in his own name and on behalf of the Beneficiaries, unless he can demonstrate fraudulent use resulting from no fault or negligence on his part.
The Customer guarantees the truthfulness and accuracy of the information provided by him in his own name and in the name and on behalf of all Beneficiaries using his data on the Site.
The Company reserves the right at any time not to enter into a contract with a Customer who makes fraudulent use of the Site or who contravenes these GCS.
In this respect, we remind you of the terms of article 313-1 of the French Penal Code:
“Fraud is the act, either through the use of a false name or false capacity, or through the abuse of a true capacity, or through the use of fraudulent maneuvers, of deceiving a natural or legal person and thus determining, to his detriment or to the detriment of a third party, to hand over funds, securities or any other property, to provide a service or to consent to an act involving obligation or discharge. Fraud is punishable by five years’ imprisonment and a fine of €375,000”.
III Right of withdrawal
Pursuant to the provisions of article L. 121-21-8 of the French Consumer Code, the services offered on the Site by the Company are not subject to the right of withdrawal provided for in articles L. 121-21 et seq. of the French Consumer Code concerning distance selling.
Consequently, services ordered on the Site are subject exclusively to the cancellation and modification conditions set out in these GTS, and the Customer may not invoke the right of withdrawal.
IV Prices and occupancy
Prices are quoted in Euros. VAT is included in the prices quoted. Any change in the applicable rate, or any modification or introduction of new legal taxes by the competent authorities, will be automatically reflected in the prices quoted on the date of invoicing.
Rates are per room for the number of people indicated and according to the period selected.
The prices indicated include only the services strictly mentioned in the reservation. Any additional services provided by the hotelier during the stay and, where applicable, the tourist tax will be added to the price mentioned in the reservation.
The prices mentioned on the Site are subject to change at any time by the Hotel without prior information or notice. Only the price indicated in the reservation confirmation by the Company is contractual.
No stay booked prior to a promotional offer will be reimbursed, even partially.
Choose to pay your bill in your own currency when using your Visa or Mastercard credit card, and benefit from the best exchange rates and most advantageous exchange commissions when you leave.
EXTRA BED For KING rooms, an extra bed for a third occupant is allowed and is charged from 25 EUR per night, unless otherwise indicated in the specific rate plan. The charge will be automatically included when more than 2 adults are selected at the time of booking. Extra beds are strictly forbidden in QUEEN rooms.
REQUESTS All requests entered in the “Requests” box of the booking engine on the hotel’s website are subject to availability and the hotel accepts no responsibility if it is unable to meet certain requests.
ROOM OCCUPANCY
The total number of occupants in a room, including children, must not exceed the maximum number of occupants permitted for the respective room types: TRIPLE: up to 3 people. KING: up to 2 people, QUEEN: up to 2 people. For the SOLO room: 1 person. If you have any questions or need clarification about the hotel’s maximum occupancy policy, our staff will be happy to explain in detail. Please also note that the hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any additional person exceeding the maximum occupancy allowed for this room type.
AGE REQUIREMENTS Customers must be at least 18 years old and show photo identification to check in. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The hotel reserves the right to check photo identification.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT Unless otherwise specified in the general conditions of the specific rate plan, arrival time is after 3 p.m. and departure time is 12 a.m.
V Online ordering
When placing an order, the Customer must :
– fill in the identification form with all the contact details requested, or give their Customer number if they have one, – fill in the online order form, giving all the references of the products or services chosen, – validate the order after checking it, – make payment as stipulated and confirm their order and payment if they have opted for an advance purchase plan, or send the Company their bank details if they have opted for a flexible plan. – Reservations for more than 3 rooms must be validated by our services. – Our systems do not authorize reservations of more than 10 consecutive days, and it is necessary to use our hello@hlnr.paris services for longer stays.

Confirmation of an order implies acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale, acknowledgement of full knowledge thereof and waiver of the right to invoke its own terms and conditions of purchase or any other terms and conditions.
All data provided and the recorded confirmation will be considered as proof of the transaction. Confirmation shall constitute signature and acceptance of the operations carried out.
The Company will send the Customer confirmation of the order by any means (e-mail, ordinary mail, fax, etc.).
The reservation is firm and definitive only after receipt of the confirmation sent to the Customer by the Company.
The rates, terms and conditions of reservations are intended for the sale of hotel rooms in accordance with their primary purpose: accommodation. The hotel reserves the right to modify or cancel the reservation(s), as well as the rates and conditions if the rooms are used for other purposes such as parties, dinners, meetings, photo or video shoots, film or interview shoots, written or filmed interviews, shoots for social networks, showrooms etc. (non-exhaustive list) without prior written authorization from the management. The number of guests in rooms may not exceed the number of people booked and may not exceed the maximum room capacity declared to the Préfecture de Police de Paris (declaration available from hotel management).
VI Online payment methods
Depending on the type of reservation made, the price is payable in full when the order is placed (prepayment advance purchase plan) or at the end of the Customer’s stay at the Hotel (flexible plan).
In all cases and in order to guarantee the reservation, the customer is asked to communicate his credit card number, the transmission being made by secure mode.
If payment is made when the order is placed, the credit card information transmitted by the Customer to the Company via a secure system enables the Company to debit the card for the total amount of the stay, again in a secure manner. The Customer’s bank account is debited on the day the order is placed, and the invoice is sent by the Company to the Customer on the day of departure from the Hotel.
Please note that the credit card used to make the reservation must be presented by the cardholder on arrival. Failing this, a new credit card will be required for payment on arrival. In the event of a third party taking charge of the stay, the hotel will require documents to ensure the security of the transaction. Please also note that the hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize your credit card at any time prior to your arrival.
VII Modification and/or cancellation of a reservation
Cancellations and/or changes to reservations may be authorized depending on the price plan chosen by the customer.
Cancellation charges 1- Flexible rate: Cancellation free of charge 12 hours before the date of stay only on the hotel’s official website. In the event of late cancellation or no-show at the hotel, the first night without supplements will be charged and is non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, if you have paid all or part of the booking online, this amount will be refunded after deduction of cancellation charges (except for non-cancellable, non-refundable offers). 2- if Non-refundable As soon as the reservation is made, 100% of the reservation is billed and non-refundable. Tourist tax: €1.88 per person per night. CHILDREN The hotel allows one child up to the age of 6 to stay free of charge using existing bedding. Baby cots are free on request and subject to availability. Persons over 12 years of age are considered adults by the hotel.
In the case of a flexible plan, any request to modify and/or cancel a reservation must be made as soon as possible.
The modification and/or cancellation of a reservation is firm and definitive only after receipt of an email confirmation from the Company.
The date of receipt of the request for modification and/or cancellation (by e-mail, post or telephone) is the date used for cancellation.
In the event of the Customer’s no-show at the Hotel and in the absence of a cancellation :
– the total amount of the reservation will be retained by the Hotel. – The first night will be deducted by the Hotel in the case of a “Flexible Plan” reservation.
Furthermore, for a stay of at least 2 nights, if the Customer does not show up on the first day of the stay, the Hotel is not obliged to keep the room for the remainder of the stay.
Customers are asked to plan to arrive at the hotel before 6:00 p.m. and to inform the hotel owner in the event of late arrival, failing which they will be deemed not to have checked in on the first day of their stay.
THIRD-PARTY RESERVATION SOURCES In the event of cancellations or changes to reservations made through sources other than directly with the hotel or the hotel website, the hotel requests that guests contact their reservation source for assistance before contacting hotel staff.
VIII Relocation
In the event that the Hotel is not available, or in the event of force majeure, the Hotel reserves the right to accommodate the Customer in whole or in part in a hotel of equivalent or higher category, offering services of the same nature. In this case, the transfer will be at the expense of the hotelier, who will not be liable for any additional compensation.
IX Ancillary services – Packages
Orders for ancillary services and/or packages can only be placed at the same time as booking a stay at the establishment on a given, pre-determined date.
They may only be used by the Customer during his/her stay at the Hotel. They may only be modified and/or cancelled in accordance with the conditions set out in article VII herein.
X Force majeure
Force majeure is defined as any unforeseeable and insurmountable event external to the parties, which prevents either the customer or the hotelier from fulfilling all or part of the obligations under the contract.
This applies in particular in the event of strike, insurrection, riot, or prohibitions imposed by government or public authorities.
It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends the parties’ performance of their mutual obligations, and that each party shall bear the costs arising therefrom.
In particular, customers are solely responsible for any additional costs that may be incurred to enable the continuation of the trip, following the occurrence of a case of force majeure.
XI Claims
All complaints must be sent to the following address: HOTEL LA NOUVELLE REPUBLIQUE, 9 RUE MORET. 75011 PARIS, within 15 days of the departure of the stay that is the subject of the complaint. After this period, no claim can be taken into account.
XII Mediation and dispute resolution
“After having referred the matter to the [e.g.: customer, litigation, …] ……….. department and failing a satisfactory response within [e.g.: 15 days, 1 month, …] ……….., the customer may refer the matter to the Tourism and Travel Ombudsman, whose contact details are given below:

XIII Information technology and civil liberties
In application of the French Data Protection Act 78-17, customers are hereby informed that their reservation is subject to computerized personal data processing. Customers have the right to access and rectify the data entered, which may be exercised by contacting the head office: HOTEL LA NOUVELLE REPUBLIQUE, 75011 PARIS. This information will not be passed on to third parties.
The Company offers wifi Internet access. The Customer undertakes to ensure that the computer resources made available are not used in any way for the purpose of reproducing, representing, making available or communicating to the public works or objects protected by copyright or related rights, such as texts, images, photographs, audiovisual musical works, software and video games, without the authorization of the holders of the rights provided for in Books I and II of the Intellectual Property Code, where such authorization is required.
XIV Responsibilities.
In the online sales process, the Company is bound only by an obligation of means. It may not be held liable for any damage resulting from the use of the Internet network, such as loss of data, intrusion, viruses, disruption of service, or other involuntary problems.
The hotel can accept late check-in or late check-out for an additional fee; subject to room availability.
DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTY The Hotel reserves the right to charge customers for the cost of repairing any damage or soiling caused by an accidental, deliberate, negligent or careless act by the customer to the property or structure of the Hotel.The customer will be held responsible for any damage, deterioration or vandalism that may occur as a result of occupying the premises and/or as a result of the participants and/or staff in his or her charge, both to movable, decorative and immovable property belonging or not belonging to the hotel. As a result, the Company has the right to ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation and without any reimbursement of the stay in progress, and to reimburse the damage caused by these acts.
SECURITY BOX Guests are encouraged to keep their valuables in the room safe or in the safe provided at reception. The hotel will not be held responsible for the loss of money or other personal valuables during your stay.
PARKING Guests may request a parking space, subject to availability.
PETS The hotel maintains a strict policy of tolerating small pets on its premises.
PROHIBITED ITEMS The following items are not permitted on hotel premises: Animals of any kind, with the exception of guide dogs Flammable, explosive or otherwise dangerous materials Firearms or other unregistered weapons Items of unusually large size or quantity Items related to gambling use, prostitution, smuggling or other illegal acts Illegal drugs or other items the possession of which is prohibited by Singapore laws The hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest found in possession of prohibited items. Guests will be solely responsible for any financial or other loss or damage that may be caused by such items.
EXCESSIVE NOISE AND PARTIES To guarantee all guests the comfort and safety of the facilities we offer, the hotel operates a strict zero-tolerance policy with regard to commotion, excessive noise and parties. Anyone on our premises creating excessive noise, throwing a party, exceeding the number of guests allowed or causing disruption in any other way will be asked to leave the hotel without refund.
INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR If any action by a guest, whether toward our staff or otherwise, is deemed inappropriate by the Hotel, or if inappropriate behavior is brought to our attention, the Hotel reserves the right, after investigating the allegations, to take action against the guest which may result in, but is not limited to, a request to leave without refund for services incurred.
SMOKING The hotel offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas of the hotel and in smoking rooms. A fee of EUR 200 for thorough cleaning services will be charged to any non-smoking room that has been fumigated in order to restore it to its original condition.
VISITORS In the interests of your well-being and safety, all visitors are required to check in at reception and are asked to leave their rooms by 12:00 pm.
CURRENCY AND TAXES Rates are in EUR and are subject to a 10% service charge, unless otherwise indicated.
CREDIT CARD PRE-AUTHORIZATION If you use your credit card to guarantee your room reservation, the hotel may hold an amount on your credit card prior to your arrival. For non-refundable reservations, the prepayment will be charged to your card prior to your arrival.
DEPOSIT FOR ROOM CHARGES For online reservations made through the hotel’s website, unless otherwise specified in the general conditions of the individual rate plan, a deposit equivalent to the price of the first night will be deducted from the credit card at the end of the reservation. No refunds will be made if your reservation is cancelled or modified within 48 hours of the arrival date. No refunds will be made if the dates of stay overlap from December 24 to January 1. Unless the entire stay has been prepaid, the hotel requires a deposit for the remaining room charges at check-in.
INCIDENTAL CHARGES For all reservations, the hotel requires a deposit for incidental charges upon check-in. The deposit can be paid in cash or by credit card at check-in. For credit card deposits, pre-authorization from the hotel is required.
XV RECTRACTION RIGHTS
Pursuant to Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the Consumer is hereby informed that he/she does not benefit from a right of withdrawal.

XVII Applicable Law
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. This applies to both substantive and formal rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
