Reservations at Parisian hotels during the Olympic Games led to wide-ranging debates about the prices hoteliers should charge. How much does a night's accommodation cost during the Olympic Games?
Most hotels have decided not to comment yet, with many waiting to "see" before posting their pricing proposals. It's likely that prices will soar, with room rates averaging 1,000 euros per night.
For our part, we carried out a brief survey, and it seems that 3-star hotels have decided to offer double room rates of between 500 and 800 euros per night. For a 4-star hotel, the price of a room during the games is likely to be between 1000 and 2000 euros.
The prices offered will be between 3 and 4 times the usual price. That's quite a lot.
